Ålesund, Norway

We spent a day in Ålesund, a modern fishing port spread across several islands, known for its Art Nouveau architecture. We climbed up the 418 steps of Fjellstua to the Aksla Viewpoint, met a new friend on our walk back through town, and had some delicious lunch, coffee, and carrot cake to cap off the day. This may have been our favorite stop!
