Lake Taupo, New Zealand

I caught my first glimpse of the volcanoes after a thunderstorm ripped across the lake the night I arrived in Lake Taupo. I hiked from Waireki Terraces, down along the Waikato River to Huka Falls, the thermal pools by the river, and back into town to sail across the lake at sunset.
